Pine, linoleum tile, MDF, mason line, latex paint, hardware
8’ (H) x 10’ (W) x 10’ (D)
This work is a to-scale architectural floor plan of my apartment building’s front stairwell, where the hallway door swings incredibly close to the stairwell banister. This particular space is home to spatial and social awkwardness as neighbors cross paths.

Linoleum tile, latex paint
23’ (W) x 22’ (D)
This work is a to-scale architectural floor plan of my apartment building’s front stairwell, foyer, and stoop. In that order, these three spaces increasingly become less private and more public.

Solo Exhibition at Silverwood Park Gallery in St. Anthony, Minnesota. Linoleum floor tile and traction grip tape are used to make a map of Silver Lake at the park. A ‘THIN ICE!” sign represents that the lake is frozen. An ice fishing shanty sits on the frozen lake; this structure is a to-scale re-creation of the back porch of my apartment, which has unfinished walls lined in plastic.
Linoleum tile, faux brick and faux stone are stitched into a wood frame to make “Map of Saint Anthony Village.” This free-standing sculpture takes the form of a narrow room divider or privacy screen.
Above the grand fireplace in the gallery is “Family Portrait," which is faux stone paneling framed in faux green marble. “Portrait of My Landlord” takes the actual wood paneling from my apartment building to match the wood paneling of a wall in the gallery.
Finally, a gutter downspout is installed on a beam in the corner of the gallery.

The city is situated in two different counties, which is represented on the backside of the sculpture with faux brick and stone panels.
